William C. “Tom” Shook

William C. “Tom” Shook 92,died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born on April 29, 1923 in Carmi Illinois the son of Clifford O. and Ruth (Beck) Shook. He graduated in 1941 from Great Bend High School Great Bend, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Ft. Hays State in 1949 with a degree in Business Administration. He was employed for 27 years with O’Neill Tank Company holding various management positions. He and his wife, Mary, formed TAMCO Services in Liberal, KS and continued the company for 13 years before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eagles, Elks and American Legion, VFW, Mutual Investment Club and for many years served as a trustee at Ft. Hays State. He also was a member of the Liberal Intellectual Center. He served in WWII from 1943-1946 in the Army Air Corp. He then went into the Air Force Reserves serving from 1946 to 1958. On July 3, 1949 he married Mary Louise Brack in Otis, Kansas. She survives.

Rick A. Shook Fort Worth, Texas.
1 Sister Ruth Marie Hoard Tucson, Arizona.
1 Grandchild Jessica A. Lindeman – Shook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Winston O. Shook and one Sister Harriet Logsdon.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Anglemyer presiding. Military honors will be given by the American Legion Post 80. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation time will be 9am to 8pm Friday with the family present from
6 to 7:30pm to greet friends at Brenneman Funeral Home.
