William (Bill) John Beohler

William (Bill) John Beohler, age 81, of Ulysses, Kansas died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born March 16, 1935 in Glasgow, Montana, the son of John William and Myrtle (Besonday) Beohler.
Bill graduated from Opheim High School on May 25, 1953. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marines from January 5, 1954 until April 1, 1956. Bill worked for his father for several years custom cutting after he moved to Kansas. He also built and operated the Catalina Night Club; and operated JB Trucking with his brother. Bill married Lupe Meza on September 20, 1979 in Ulysses, Kansas. They owned and operated their own business, Beohler Trucking, in Johnson, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Lupe of their home; one son; two daughters; two sisters, Sylvia Qualley and husband Omar of Gonvick, Minnesota, and Betty Bert and husband Larry of Taylor, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doug Beohler; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
