Wayne F. Adolfson

Wayne F. Adolfson, age 73, passed away late Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born April 17, 1948, in Oakland, California, the son of Erik and Merle (Frame) Adolfson. As a young boy he attended school in Alameda and San Jose, California. After high school, joined the United States Air Force, serving for four years. After his discharge he attended Hayward State University receiving his degree in Sociology. He later began working for Lockheed-Martin as an Orbital Analyst. In 2004, he moved to Meade, Kansas.
He enjoyed tennis, swimming, biking, hiking, being in the outdoors, fishing, baseball, refinishing furniture, target practicing, and spending time with his family and friends.
On April 24, 1976, he married Marshela Piper at the Mission Church of the University of Santa Clara, California. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Whitney, Stephanie, and Erin; a brother Craig Adolfson; a sister Pam Gray; five grandchildren, Presley, Will, Josiah, Jesse, and Danielle; and a loyal family companion, Jaxon Colt Adolfson.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Meade City Park. Cremation has taken place.
