Wayne Batman, 84, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away November 5, 2012 at his home.
Wayne was born October 28, 1928 in Plains, Kansas, the son of Arthur William and Leona Mae Morrison Batman. He attended school in Meade, Kansas and graduated from Meade High School. After graduation he ranched with his father.
On October 22, 1952, Wayne was united in marriage to Ruth Elizabeth Kisner in Offerle, Kansas. They made their first home in Phoenix, Arizona and then moved to Hooker, Oklahoma where they began Batman’s Clothing. Wayne worked as a car salesman for Hodges Ford in Hooker and Foss Ford in Liberal, Kansas. He also worked as a salesman, selling industrial supplies and for Culligan Water.
Wayne was an avid gun owner and enjoyed shooting. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he helped with building upkeep and worship services.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Ruth on January 26, 2009.
Survivors include his two sons, Dennis and wife Tara of Salina, Kansas and Mike and wife Cathy of Moore, Oklahoma; his daughter, Debra Rinehart and husband Ken of Liberal, Kansas; one brother, Richard Batman of Kansas; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Ok.
