Wanda Pearl Davis, 76, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home in Hooker.
Wanda was born January 24, 1940 in Laverne, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy and Alice Lilly Morris. She attended school in Laverne and on September 9, 1956 in Clayton, New Mexico, Wanda was united in marriage to Tad Davis. They lived in Laverne for a short time before making Hooker their permanent home. In 1967 they began Davis Shamrock service station in Hooker, Wanda did the bookwork and continued the station until 1978. They enjoyed going to music festivals in their RV and always made time to go to their cabin at Taos Valley in New Mexico.
Wanda served many people as a tax accountant and bookkeeper for many years.
Wanda was a member of the Church of Christ, enjoyed reading, cooking her family and OU football.
Proceeded in death by her husband, Tad; five brothers, Durd Leroy, Ray Andrew, Wesley Newton, Robert A., Donald Dean; and three sisters, Lela Ann Despain, Della Ishmuel, Martha Ann Dunsworth.
Survivors include two sons, Tom A. Davis, Jr. of Guymon, and Jerry Davis and his wife Martha of Hooker, Oklahoma; one brother, Buddy and his wife Loretta Morris of Holbert, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Lindsay, Lexy, Amanda, Holly, Allisa and Jerriena and six great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Hooker, Oklahoma with Lance Morrisett officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma, 73945.
