Wanda Louise Getz

Wanda Louise Getz was born on Dec.23, 1945 in Beaver Oklahoma. Her parents were Lee and Mae Judd. Wanda was promoted to heaven on June 9, 2020. Wanda was the youngest of 5 siblings, of which two were brothers and three were sisters. She graduated from Beaver High School in 1964. Shortly after graduating she met the love of her life Bobby Getz, who she then married on December 11, 1966.

Wanda and Bob chose Beaver to be their homestead for the rest of their life. While there, Wanda chose to stay at home making her career as a housewife and mother of two wonderful boys. She was very involved with family babysitting, cooking, and sharing her recipes with friends and neighbors she loved, all while being a stay at home mother. Quality time with family was her priority. Her favorite TV show was Golden Girls, as it brought back memories of her childhood. She also loved watching Jeopardy with Bradley, challenging him on who knew the most. Wanda spent countless hours reading, her favorite author was Janet Evanovich, who had a nice sense of humor. Wanda loved camping and fishing with the boys, who enjoyed it almost as much as she did. She was always upbeat and thankful for everything, and she never minded Bob and the boys playing a game of poker, while she enjoyed some much deserved rest. Wanda was a cheerful, hard working mother. She was also an amazing aunt, a beloved sister, a wonderful wife, and a gracious friend. She will be greatly missed.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Bob Getz; her parents and by a brother, Leon Judd. She is survived by her two sons; Bradly and Scott Getz, three granddaughters, a brother, three sisters, and many nephews and nieces, who all cared for her deeply.

Graveside Funeral Services for Wanda Louise Getz will be Friday June 12, 2020 at 10:00am in the Mountain View Cemetery with Kirk Fisher officiating. Arrangements were made under the professional guidance of Alan Clark Funeral Services Beaver, OK.
