According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, traffic changes along U.S. 54 in Meade County will start July 15, three miles west of the west city limits of Meade. The traffic change is needed to allow bridge repair work to take place. Motorists should expect minimal delays, and a 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Temporary traffic signals will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone, and signs and cones will mark the lane reduction. Walter Leroy McCullar, 77, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away March 19, 2015 at his daughters home after a seventeen year battle with bone cancer.
Family and friends will meet to celebrate Walter’s life from 2:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker. Cremation will take place at a future date.
