Voitsekh Halytskiy

Voitsekh Halytskiy, age 90, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his home in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on February 1, 1932, the son of Anthony Halytskiy and Leokadia Shavurska.

In 1957, Voitsekh was united in marriage to Kateryna Volosovich in Lviv, Ukraine, she preceded him in death on December 23, 2001. He raised two sons, Anthony Galitsky and Oleg Galitsky. Voitsekh was a Mechanical Engineer, who was a very hard worker until the age of 87. He enjoyed traveling to numerous places around the world. He loved his family, his friends and his pets. Voitsekh will always be remember for his friendly and outgoing personality that he shared with everyone he met.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Galitsky of Liberal, Kansas,

Daughter-in-law, Iryna Halytskiy,

Granddaughter, Marta Halytskiy of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and

Grandson, Oleksandr Halytskiy of West Plains, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by

His wife, Kateryna Volosovich, and

Son, Oleg Galitsky.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas with Rev. Augustine Owusu presiding.
