Virginia L. McCampbell

Virginia Lee McCampbell, age 84, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.
She was born August 14, 1931, at Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Virgil (Frost) Laubengayer. As a young girl she attended the Salina school system and later moving wither her family to Hays, graduating from Hays High School. She later attended Ft. Hays State University, where she met her husband, James McCampbell. They were married on July 21, 1950 at Hays, Kansas. After their marriage she moved to Fowler. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
She enjoyed playing cards, needlecraft, beadwork, making afgans, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by:

Three sons, Bruce McCampbell of Powell, Wyoming
Brad McCampbell of Fowler, Kansas
Brian McCampbell
A daughter, Marsha Manning of Kansas City, Kansas
A sister, Mary Weis of Mesa, Arizona
Three grandsons two great-grandchildren
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Fowler Friends Church, Fowler. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.
The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Residential Care Center or the Western Plains Animal Refuge of Hays in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
