Verona Yost

Verona Yost, age 47, of Ulysses, Kansas died Friday, May 11, 2012 at her Mother’s home in Hickok, Kansas. She was born October 29, 1964 in Johnson, Kansas, the daughter of Loren and Wilda (Koehn) Yost.

Verona grew up in Grant County. She moved to Cochise, Arizona in 1996. She loved to cook, the Arizona mountains, her cats, working in her rose garden, and spending time with people. Verona was a highly recommended caregiver for 16 years.

She is survived by her mother, Wilda Yost of Hickok, Kansas; brothers, Rod Yost and wife Jonetta, Doyle Yost and wife Marilyn, and Sanford Yost all of Hickok, Kansas; sister, Melissa Seiler and husband Steve of Michigan; 11 nieces and nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Grant Mennonite Church in rural Ulysses, Kansas with Ministers Stuart Jantzen and Denton Koehn officiating. Interment will follow at the Grant Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas.
