Ronald W. Lewis, age 67, passed away early Saturday morning, April 9, 2016, at his rural Fowler, Kansas, residence.
He was born May 1, 1948, at Fowler, Kansas, the son of Walter Loren and Wanda Claire (Cope) Lewis. As a young boy he attended the Fowler Grade School, later graduating from Fowler High School in 1966. After his graduation he began his career in farming and ranching in rural Meade County.
He was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, the National Rifle Association, Kansas Livestock Association, and the Kansas Sport Hunting Association. He enjoyed hunting, traveling to Colorado, playing dice and slot machines, and was particular fond of spending time with his family and grandchildren.
On November 9, 1968, he married Ardith Bayha at the Friends Church in Fowler, Kansas. She survives.

Two daughters, Sarah Lewis-Finke of Meade, Kansas
Laura H. Lewis of rural Meade, Kansas
Two brothers, Richard Lewis of Manhattan, Kansas
Kyle Lewis of rural Fowler, Kansas
A sister, Shelley Cherry of Urbandale, Iowa
Six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bailey, and Bristol Lewis

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at the United Methodist Church, Meade. Cremation has taken place and private family inurnment will be in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.
The family would welcome memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
