Theo Gooch Crane passed from this life into the Glory of her Lord on January 25th, 2023, at Northshore Care and Rehab in Loveland, Colorado.

Theo Alma Gooch was born on November 19, 1931, to Theodore Roosevelt and Olive Virginia Cash Gooch in Osawatomie, Kansas.

She graduated from Hugoton High School and attended Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma.

She married Charles Eugene Crane on August 30, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas, with the reception held at the farm home of the Brides parents, Ted and Olive Gooch.

Theo and Charles raised their five children, Debbi, Charla, Ron, Mark, and Jereme, in Hugoton, surrounded by family and friends they loved. Theo taught Sunday School at the First Christian Church during her kids’ growing up years and also sang in the church choir for many years.

Theo enjoyed the years she worked in the Treasurer’s Office in the Stevens County Courthouse. Chuck and Theo were also proud to provide Rainbow Rollers skating rink for their communities’ enjoyment! In their later years, The O ChuckWagon took Chuck and Theo all over the USA and Canada, serving their delicious homemade food at fairs and events!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Crane, daughter Charla Ann Crane Holder, son Ronald Eugene Crane, and parents, Theodore and Olive Gooch.

Theo is survived by her daughter Deborah Jan Donaldson and husband Michael Roy Donaldson, Mark Alan Crane and wife Heather Crane and Jereme Crane, along with grandchildren Leigh Donaldson Ward and husband Matt Ward, Brenna Donaldson Lambert and husband Drew Lambert, Joshua Holder, Travis Holder, Monica Crane Rodriguez and husband Luis Rodriguez, Britney Crane Marlin and husband Vance Marlin, Caleb Crane and wife Nicole Crane, Bolden Crane, Landen Crane, Alexa Crane and Sterling Crane, Great grandchildren Averi Lambert, Brock Ward, Mikalah Ward, Issac Rodriguez, Olivia Rodriguez, and Jaxxon Holder. Theo is also survived by her brother Jim Gooch of Hugoton, her sister Susan Gooch of Canon Beach, Oregon, her brother Dave Gooch of Gardner, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established for Pheasant Heaven Charities in the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas.

Please join us in the Celebration of Theo’s Life, held on Thursday, February 2, 2023,2 p.m., at the First Christian Church in Hugoton, Kansas. Burial to follow at Hugoton Cemetery with Pastor Heath Kelley presiding.
