Terry Clinton Clinesmith, age 85, passed away after a battle with cancer, on September 25, 2020, in Walnut Creek, California. Terry was born October 3, 1934, in Rolla, Kansas. After attending high school in Rolla, Terry joined the US Navy and was trained as a communication technician in the cryptographic code section.
Terry spent the majority of his life in the communication field with Pacific Telephone and later in home security and maintenance. He had been a member of the Clayton Valley, California, Masonic Lodge and rode with the Shrine Mounted Patrol, participating in the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade.
After retiring, he became interested in family genealogy and donated his many years of research to the Morton County Historical Society in Elkhart, Kansas.
Terry joined his father, Fredrick Clinton; mother, Mary Helen; and baby sister, Dorothy in the family plot at Rolla Cemetery in Rolla, Kansas, on October 20, 2020
He is survived by two brothers, Troy of Coral Gables, Florida and Larry of Blue Diamond, Nevada; two nephews; and numerous friends and relatives.
