Terry Barrera

Terry Lemar Barrera, 44, died Saturday May 2, 2020 at Minneola District Hospital. He was born June 25, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Guadalupe and Serverda Belen (Serena) Barrera.

Terry had lived in Fowler Kansas for about a year moving from Liberal, Kansas.

He loved spending time with all his family. Terry Loved to cook and eat his big sister Tonya’s cooking. He enjoyed mechanical work and you could always find him under the hood of his truck or someone’s vehicle. Terry was a jokester and would always have you laughing. His biggest passion was his children.

Survivors include: 6 daughters, Courtney Barrera, Lawton, Oklahoma, Briana Barrera, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Erica and Brittney Barrera, both of Platte City, Missouri, Aljexi and Brinley Barrera, both of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; 3 sons, Donovan Arey, Antonio and Bentley Barrera, both of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Roger Barrera, Las Vegas, Nevada, Billy Barrera, Boise City, Oklahoma, Bobby Joe Jesse, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Latricia Aleman, Hugoton, Kansas, and Tonya Earl, Hooker, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Jaxton Bond, Platte City, Missouri, Freyja, Platte City, Missouri; and one grandchild on the way; ex-wife, Staphanie Barrera, Wynnewood, Kansas.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Alexis Barrera, 3 brothers, Barry, Rogelio and Benito Barrera; 4 sisters, Beatrice Jesse, Bonnie DeHerrera, Bertha Montoya and Yolanda Barrera.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal Kansas with Pastor Dennis McDowell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola.
