Teresa E. Palacios

Teresa E. Palacios, age 57, of Elkhart, Kansas died February 12, 2013 at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart, Kansas. She was born March 22, 1955 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico the daughter of Jose and Agripina (Leya) Espino.

Teresa, a homemaker, married Isaias Palacios nine years ago. She was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart, Kansas. Teresa was also a member of the church Spanish Choir and enjoyed attending horse races.

Survivors include her husband, Isaias, of the home; five daughters, Martha Zubia of Odessa, Texas, Nora E. Hinojoza of Monahans, Texas, Sandra Zubia of Elkhart, Kansas, Bilma E. Rios of Monahans, Texas, Jessica Guzman of Elkhart, Kansas; one brother, Jesus Espino of Ojinaga Chihuahua Mexico; four sisters, Maria Rios of Odessa, Texas, Aide Zubia of Odessa, Texas, Lidia Muñoz and Irma Hinojoza both of Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents.

Rosary and vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 and funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2013 both at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart, Kansas with Reverend Francis Khoi Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.
