Steven “Steve” Anthony Betts

Steven “Steve” Anthony Betts, age 58, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away February 19, 2018 at his home. He was born April 16, 1959, in Council Bluffs, to Paul and Karen. Steve graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1977. In August 1977, he married Jennie Cline. They had two children, Tara and Scott. Steve married Rebecca “Becky” Kramer in October 1985 and they had two children, Jim and Dustin. Steve was employed with Westlake Ace Hardware for over 20 years where he was the manager of many different locations. He was preceded in death by his son, Dustin Betts; father, Paul Betts; brother, Douglas Betts and the love of his life, Rebecca Betts. Steve is survived by his children, Tara Logan (Dawn Rushton), Scott Betts (Betsy), Jim Betts (Mariko); grandchildren: Tucker, Blayden, Everett and Bentlee; mother, Karen (Don) McMorris; step-mother, Patricia Betts; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation from 4-6 p.m., on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Salvation Army Church, 715 N 16th Street, Council Bluffs. A Celebration of Life service immediately following the visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family.
