Sherry Marie Winkler, 54, of Holcomb, KS formerly of Plains, KS passed away on Thursday October 14, 2021 at the St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, KS.

She was born on December 7, 1966 to Roy and Edna (Kieser) Freeman at Tulsa, OK.

Sherry was a hard worker and had worked with many jobs throughout her life including being an IT Para at Southwestern Heights High School, an office administrator at ADM Grain, and being an associate at Bass Pro.
Sherry enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, canning vegetables, making jelly, and baking pies; most of all she cherished being with her sons and granddaughter. She was active in church and was a member of the United Methodists Women’s Group.

Sherry is survived by her Three Sons, David Winkler and wife Shelby of Kismet, KS, Monte Winkler and wife Chelsey of Balko, OK, Sheldon Winkler of Balko, OK; Granddaughter, Maci Blaine Winkler; Mother, Edna Freeman of Mabank, Tx; Two Brothers, Roy L Freeman and wife Stacie of Henrietta, OK, Brian Carl Freeman and wife Lisa of Eustace, TX; Niece, Areena Rae Kinslow of Henrietta, OK; and her second set of children, her dogs Patches and Cowgirl.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Roy Freeman and Son, Joshua Winkler.

Visitation will Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday October 22, 2021 at the Kismet United Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Mayhew, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, OK.

Miller Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
