Sharon Adele Sallee

Sharon Adele Sallee was born June 27th, 1940 to Edgar Otto Paul and Violet Malissa (Williams) Winter in Liberal, Kansas. She left this life on September 1st, 2021 surrounded by her family. She attended the Liberal school system, graduating in 1958.

On June 15th, 1958, she married the love of her life, Harold Sallee, at the Church of Christ at 4th & Grant Street in Liberal, Kansas. Together, She and Harold raised three children, Marsha, Wally, and Gene.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 63 years, two children, Marsha West and husband Bill of Beaver, Oklahoma, and Gene Sallee and wife Cari of Liberal, Kansas. Sharon is also survived by her “Nother Daughter” Cynthia Sena and her husband Sam also of Liberal, Kansas.

10 Grandchildren: Cassie Weber and fiancé, Keith Salley of Beaver Oklahoma, Nikki Spurgin and husband Mike of Cameron, Missouri, Blake Sallee and wife Jax of Denver, Colorado, Chris Sallee of Liberal, Kansas, Randall Sallee of Beaver Oklahoma, Krista Leyva and husband Christian of Liberal, Kansas , Justin Sallee of Liberal, Kansas, Angela Durre of San Antonio, TX, Melissa Durre of Oceanside, CA, and Shane Sena of Liberal, KS.

8 Great Grandchildren: Branden Weber and wife Shelby of Howell, Michigan, Holden Weber of Bay City, Michigan, Sam Weber of Howell, Michigan, Paige Dean and husband Janoy of Dickinson, South Dakota, Kyle Spurgin and wife Ashley of Hugoton, Kansas, Harley and Riley Sallee of Denver, Colorado, and Benjamin and Analise Leyva of Liberal, Kansas.

5 Great Great Grandchildren: Daxson, Mila and Naomi Weber and Colton Cornell of Howell, Michigan and Nikolas Dean of Dickinson, South Dakota.

Her brothers and sisters: Sandra Eaton and husband Arnold of Liberal, Kansas, Larry Winter and wife Mary of Turpin, Oklahoma, Bill Winter and wife Linda Sue of Kismet, Kansas, Dennis Winter and wife Linda Dorothy of Dover, Delaware, Linda Higgins of Kismet, Kansas and Kathy Cunningham of Colby, Kansas; brother-in-law, Ted Sallee and wife Pat of Maize, Kansas, sister-in-law Dorothy Edwards and husband Audy of Jett, Oklahoma, Mary Ann Pittser of Liberal, Kansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Violet Winter; brother, Jerry Winter; son, Wally Sallee, and grandson Rickie Don Burdett, and Chad.

Sharon taught hundreds of kids in Sunday School for a large portion of her life. She always made all her own class materials, because the stuff you buy was not in depth enough for her. Sharon was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. For a little lady, she’s going to leave a HUGE hole in our hearts!

Viewing will be 1:30pm to 5:00pm Monday September 6th and 9:00 am to 11:30 am Tuesday September 7th at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be at 2pm, on September 7th, 2021 at the Grant Street Church of Christ in Liberal, Kansas with Dennis Francis officiating. Interment will be at the Liberal City Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the donors choice.
