Shari Denise Hensley

Shari Denise Hensley, age 60, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born October 30, 1960, in Ulysses, the daughter of Richard “Rich” L. and Mary A. (Massey) Hensley.

Shari grew up in Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1978. She enjoyed many jobs including Bill’s IGA, Gibson’s, Alco, Grant County Medical, Grant County Feeders and Lowe’s Market. Shari, an avid Denver Bronco’s fan, also enjoyed reading, camping, and playing games on her phone.

Shari is survived by her mother, Mary of Ulysses; brother, Mike Hensley of Ulysses; sister, Kathy Payton of Katy, Texas; one niece, Courtnie Brand and husband Matthew “Buddy” of Pattison, Texas; one great-niece, Braylie Brand; one great-nephew, Weston Brand; aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends.

Shari is preceded in death by her father, Rich in 2015.

Memorial service will be Monday, March 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Todd Guinn officiating. Private inurnment will be at Ulysses Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page.
