Serjio “Coyote” Rutiaga

Serjio “Coyote” Rutiaga, age 41, died on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Turpin, Oklahoma.

He was born on September 3, 1983, in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Maximiliano and Elisa (Quezada) Rutiaga.

Serjio went to school in Liberal, Kansas. He worked as a pipe welder in refrigeration. Serjio will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Maximiliano and Elisa Rutiaga of Liberal, Kansas,
Brother, Rual Rutiaga and his wife, Sabrina of Liberal, Kansas,
Five sons, Sergio Jr. Carrillo of El Paso, Texas,
Elario Rutiaga of El Paso, Texas,
Elias Ethan Rutiaga of El Paso, Texas,
Alejandro Torres of Liberal, Kansas,
Elian Rutiaga of Liberal, Kansas,
Two daughters, Abbigail G. Rutiaga of Iowa, and
Allison J. Rutiaga of Iowa, and
Two granddaughters, Luanei Annmarie Carrillo,
Luna Aululei Carrillo.

He is preceded in death by his
Uncle Jose Luis Quezada

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding.

An interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
