Selena Sarahy Chavez

Selena Sarahy Chavez, age 24, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born December 14, 1995 in Las Cruses, New Mexico, the daughter of Victor Chavez and Claudia (Gandarilla) Barco.

She graduated from High School in Liberal, Kansas

She worked at Old Chicago as a waitress and meeting new people. She was loving mother, devoting lots of free time to enjoy her family. She always had a beautiful smile and a big heart to welcome her family and friends.

Survivors include:
Her Parents Claudia Barco and Guillermo De La Torre.
Son; Mario Ontiveros,
Daughter; Aneles Ontiveros,
Brother; Victor Chavez,
Sisters; Pamela Rosales, Emmily Rosales, Leslye Rosales, Hailey De La Torre, Karmely De La Torre, Jimema De La Tore, Valeria Chavez and Priscila Chavez.
Grandparents; Manuel Barco, Dora Baray

Visitation Monday, April 20, 2019 starting at 10:00 AM with an all-night vigil. Followed by A Funeral Service Tuesday April 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Both Services will be held at the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church, 122 West Wilson Street, Liberal Kansas Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery, with Pastor Bernabe Aguilar presiding.

Attendance at services will follow CDC guideline’s and State requirements restricting gathering size at Visitation and Funeral Services to 10 people. In order to be admitted to the funeral ceremony and graveside service, you must present the admittance ticket provided by the Funeral Home. This is for safety and the best interest everyone’s health; we encourage use of social media to offer condolences and support to the family in lieu of attending.
