Saundra Sue Grover

Saundra Sue Grover, 83, of Liberal, gained her wings and passed peacefully at her home.

Born May 12th, 1939, to Lometa Ogden Cannon and Edwin Hulcy.

Saundra married Harold Dean Hawk in 1957, and had 6 children, Dena, Douglas, Danny, Darla, Billy, and David. Later remarried John Grover in 1986.

Many knew Saundra as “Mama Hawk”, she enjoyed giving and helping anyone in need. She valued her family, loved reading, cooking, watching birds and squirrels in her backyard, she loved gardening, antiques, loved anything that had “bling”, and loved to shop. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners and Chicago Cubs fan.

She is survived by her sister Melinda Putnam(Steve), sons Danny Hawk, Billy Hawk, David Hawk, son in law Michael Walsh, 20 grandkids,
18 great grandkids, 4 great great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both husbands Harold Dean and John, her children Douglas, Dena, and Darla, grandson Danny Jr, her sisters Jeannie and Loreta, and her brother Billy.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 20th at 10am at Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Rex Petty, officiating.

Burial will be at the Liberal City Cemetery.
