Saundra S. Gustus

Saundra S. Gustus, age 82, passed away early Thursday morning, January 14, 2021, at the Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kansas.

She was born July 5, 1938, at Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Graham and Mildred Narcissa (Jackson) Sisson. As a young girl, she attended school in Geneseo, Kansas, graduating from high school in 1956.

On June 17, 1956, she married Vernon Gustus at Geneseo. In 1969, the couple moved to Fowler, Kansas, where they made their home for many years before moving to Meade. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Meade. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, watching the University of Kansas Jayhawk basketball, and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, Vern of Meade; three daughters, Beverly Fuller of Gateway, Colorado, Robyn Wiggins of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Cindy Jones of Liberal, Kansas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, James, and Ronald Sisson; and a granddaughter, Anna.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
