Ruth LaMoyne Mayo began her earthly journey on August 1st, 1937 on a farmstead near Forgan,Oklahoma. She continued her sojourn aboard the spiritual Heavenly express at 11:07 on November 16, 2016. Family and friends were with her as she departed.
She was the fifth child of Bertha and Gene Mayo. Two sisters, Roberta and Yvonne, and one brother, Wayne preceded her in death, as well as her parents. Two sisters, Billie Weeks of Temecula, CA and Elaine Manis of Carlsbad, CA and one brother Vern Mayo of Fowler, KS survive, as well as a son Ted of Oklahoma City, and a daughter Rhonda of Haviland, KS; a stepson, Tyree Jones of Oklahoma City; stepdaughters, Windy Clark and Kim Clark of California; grandchildren Jessica, Tyler, and Stephenie; great- grand children Tucker and Piper; many neices and nephews also survive.
A family service will be held at a later date. No flowers are requested. If memorials are desired, it is suggested they go to the Minneola Long Term Healthcare Unit, Minneola, KS, in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
