Ruth Feese

Cleo Ruth Feese, 90, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Pioneer Manor in 
Hugoton, KS.

She was born February 11, 1922 in Kechi, KS, the daughter of Clyde 
Lester and Della Mae (Reeves) Bigger. She attended schools at Langdon 
and Sylvia, Kansas. Ruth graduated from Sylvia High School in 1940.

She has been a longtime Liberal resident. Ruth worked at the Seward 
County Court House, Chaffin Hardware and Ben Franklin Variety until her 
retirement. She then became a caregiver for her husband until his death.

She was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and later 
was affiliated with the South Church of God. She spent many years in the 
Rebekah Lodge and its branches. Ruth enjoyed several years active in the 
Liberal Senior Center.

On April 10, 1943, she married Lee E. Feese at Newton, KS. He died in 
Nov. 1994.
Survivors include:
Two Sons: Leroy Feese and wife Barbara Liberal, KS;
Earl Feese and wife Cheryl Liberal, KS;

Three Grandchildren: Carrie Shain and husband Ben, Jennifer Baker and 
husband Adam, and DeAnn Knavel.
Eight Great-grandchildren: David and Ella Shain; Calvin, Callie and 
Calister Baker; Karma, Kolby and Kenyon Knavel

Sister-in-law, Pearl Bigger of Hutchinson, KS.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one 
great-granddaughter, Kameron Knavel.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 28th, at Brenneman 
Funeral Home Chapel with Ben Shain presiding. Burial will be in Restlawn 
Cemetery.

Visitation time will be 1 – 8 pm Tuesday with the family present to 
receive friends from 6 – 7 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to South Church of God Building Fund 
or Liberal Senior Center in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd 
Liberal, KS 67901.
