Ruth A. Franks

Ruth A. Franks, age 82, died Monday, May 8, 2023, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born September 13, 1940, in Bethel, Oklahoma, to Ira Hardin and Mary Lou (Jones) Hardin.

Ruth was united in marriage to her soul mate, Wayne Franks.

Ruth’s great love was music. She wrote music and was an accomplished singer. She loved her family so much, and they were the most important part of her life.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly Robbins, Meredith Bentley, and Cynthia Caudle; Son Kevin Franks and many loving nieces and nephews.

6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents, Ira and Mary Lou Hardin, son, Russell Shores, daughter Kerri Robertson brothers, John Russell Shalver, Floyd Hardin, and Sonny Mills, sisters, Irene Miller, Betty Emery, and Christine Hardin.

Funeral Services will be at 10am, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the High Hill Baptist Church, 16531 county road 3580, in Ada, Oklahoma. Pastor Randall Golden will be presiding.

A burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery.

There will be a memorial service at 2pm, Monday, May 15, 2023 at Wheatridge Park Care Center, 1501 S. Holly Drive, Liberal, KS 67901.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of your choice, in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
