Russell Dean Oliver

Russell Dean Oliver, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, Kansas.

The son of Manley T. and Mildred Eunice (Myers) Oliver and was born January 16, 1940, Garden City, Kansas.

He and Elizabeth Ann Hayward were married January 6, 1968, in Liberty, Missouri.

Russell was regularly active in his community. He was a member of the Pleasant Prairie Church of God, Satanta, Kansas. A past board member of Satanta School District and Haskell County Fair Board. He continually donated to Gideons International and was a member of the Gelbvieh Cattle Association.

He is survived by two loving sons, Vance Oliver and wife Ashley, Charleston, IL., Greg Oliver and wife Jenny, Lakin, KS.; two brothers, Roy Oliver and wife Virginia, Kosciusko, MI., Ron Oliver and wife Mary, Satanta, KS.; sister, Dorothy Stricklin and husband Bill, Webbers Falls, OK.; four grandchildren, Christopher Oliver and wife Desirae, Syracuse, KS., Tyler Oliver, Parsons, KS., Erin Oliver, Charleston, IL., Evan Oliver, Charleston, IL.; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Klayton Oliver, Syracuse, KS.; and many other relatives and friends.

Russell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann; and parents, Manley T. and Mildred Eunice Oliver.

A memorial has been established for Gideons International, in care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 747, Satanta, KS 67870.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021, 10 A.M., Pleasant Prairie Church of God, 503 County Road 33, Satanta, Kansas. Burial to follow at Dudley Township Cemetery.
