Royce Young, 67, Turpin, OK, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011
at his home, following and extended illness.

He was born May 30, 1943 in Liberal, KS, the son of Dolph J.
& Twyla M. Parmelee Young.

He graduated Turpin High School in 1961, received Certificate
from Indianapolis Diesel Mechanic School and attended college
at Alva, OK . He married Mary K. Lee on February 24, 1968 at
Turpin, Ok, she survives. He farmed in the Turpin community
for thirty years also drove truck for Jim O’Grady Trucking for
fifteen years.

He is a member of the Turpin United Methodist Church and
Honorary Member of the V.F.W. Lane Day Post #3166.

He is survived by his wife Mary Young, Turpin, OK; one son,
Jim Young and wife Renee; one daughter, Jacki Sherrell all of
Turpin, OK; his mother, Twyla Mae Young, Turpin, OK;
three brothers, Alan Young and wife Teri, Sand Springs, OK ;
Larry Young , Turpin, OK; Garrell Young and wife Lesa, Turpin, OK;
one sister, Veda King and husband Frank, Turpin, OK;
four grandchildren, Ashlee O’Dell, Cody Sherrell, Matthew Young
& Micaela Young. He was preceded in death by his father Dolph Young,
father & mother-in-laws Lester & Wilma Lee.

Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Monday at the
Turpin United Methodist Church, with Rev. Todd Bergman presiding.

Interment will be in the Independence Cemetery, rural Turpin.

Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9 A.M.-8 P.M. Saturday
and 1-8 P.M. Sunday.

The family suggests that memorials be sent to Turpin United Methodist
Church , Guymon Hospice & Home Care, Wilma Lee Scholarship Fund
in care of the mortuary.
