MEADE – Roy Wade Geddes, age 69, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Meade, Kansas.

He was born February 19, 1955, at Independence, Missouri, the son of Orville M. (O.M.) and Elma (Reny) Irene (Adams) Geddes. As a young boy, he moved to Meade, attending the Meade school system, graduating from Meade High School in 1973. After his graduation, he began his career, working in the oilfields for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his motorcycles, and had a deep devotion to his dogs.

He married Pat Smith. After several years of marriage, the couple separated. He later had a long term relationship with Connie Alley. She past away on October 12, 2020.

He is survived by a son Terry Geddes of Meade; a daughter Megan Geddes of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Orville Geddes and wife Kim of Meade; and a granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his companion, Connie; parents; and two brothers, James Fred Geddes and E.C. Geddes.

According to his request, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

The family would welcome memorials to the Roy Geddes Memorial Fund in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
