Rosella Sara Pauls

Steven Rains - September 5, 2019 2:26 pm

Rosella Sara Pauls was born February 12, 1935, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and is dancing on streets of gold as of September 4, 2019, reunited with her much beloved husband, Irvin M. Pauls, her parents, John H. and Sara (Neufeldt) Martens, her sister, Stella Thiessen, and many other extended family members and friends.

She is survived by her brother: John Martens & Florie and children: Glenn Pauls, Duane Pauls, Jo & Nicholas Lembo and Dwight & Shelley Pauls. Also survived by the grandchildren she loves so dearly: Jalizabeth & Phil Nickel, Betsy & Martin Leeuwner, Jamison & Phuong Folland, Luke & Jamie Pauls, Laura & Dustin Blake, Aaron Pauls, Ashley & James Pauls, Mike & Jessica Lembo, Joseph & Brooks Lembo, and the 12 great-grandchildren they have given to her.

Rosella was known for her laughter and people everywhere recognized she was present in a crowd because of it. She loved her God and her family with all of her heart, and will be missed by her large community of friends. She requests donations to the Oasis Church Children’s Program at 712 E. Hampton Rd., Ulysses, Kansas 67880 in lieu of flowers…”because that way their money will do some good, instead of just being spent on flowers.” That was our mom, caring for others even after she’s left this earth.

A celebration service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 2:30 pm with refreshments following, at the Oasis Church, officiated by Pastor Garrett Gretz and Pastor Nick Lembo. All who knew and loved her are invited. Visitation is 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday at the Oasis Church in Ulysses. A private burial will be held at the Stanton County Cemetery.
