Rose Albina Marrufo, age 83, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born March 1, 1937 daughter of Joe Sierra and Sophia Valdez in San Luis Valley, Colorado.
Rose graduated high school in 1959 from Boone, Colorado. On June 21, 1985 she married Eustacio V. Marrufo in Pueblo, Colorado, he survives. Rose worked for National Beef Packing as a meat sorter for 18 years.

Her daughter Sophie Rose Garza of Leadville, Colorado and her children: Mariah K. and her husband, Joe Orenday, Makayla K. Garza and great-grandchild, Amileo Orenday
Her sons, Angel V. Bedford Marrufo of Liberal, Kansas
And Tony and wife, Stacey Marrufo and their children: Antonio E. Marrufo Jr., Juan Marrufo, Aliyanna Marrufo, and Bella Marrufo all of Kyle, South Dakota
Her brother, Joe and his wife Theresa Sierra of Liberal, Kansas
also survived by a large loving family too numerous to name.
Preceded in death by both her parents, Joe Sierra and Sophia Valdez, four brothers, Orlando Valdez, Fred Sierra, Eloy Sierra, Ernie Sierra, three sisters Dora Montano, Bennie Montano, Mary Pinkham, and granddaughter Sheree Briggs-Marrufo
Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the
Hornung Family Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, Kansas 67901.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
