Ronald Roy Miller

Ronald Roy Miller, 71, of Liberal, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2017

He was born on April 20, 1946 to Lewis and Mildred (Foster) Miller at Garden City, KS.

On July 11, 1980 he married Sherry Salley at Guymon, OK. She survives.

Ron worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Kansas Dept of Transportation; from which he retired after 35 years. Ron enjoyed listening to Bill & Gloria Gaither Southern Gospel Music, watching old westerns, volunteering at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center, assisting his friend Paul Quiring, and helping out at his church. Ron also loved spending time with his family and enjoyed going on many road trips with them. He was a member of the South Church of God.

Ron is also survived by Two Sons- Paul Salley and wife Sharlene of Liberal and Ray Ronald Wilson of Dighton, KS; Two Brothers- Melvin Miller of San Diego, CA, and Kenny Miller of Perkins, OK; One Sister- Velma Chitwood of TX; Nine Grandchildren; Two Great Grandchildren, Sister in Law- Charlotte Goldy of Liberal, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, One Brother- Eldon Miller, Two Sisters- Carol and Ruby Miller

Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, October 9, 2017, with the family present to greet friends from 6-7:30pm at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the South Church of God with Pastor Arlen Ankle, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the South Church of God Building Fund in care of Miller Mortuary.
