Ronald Roe Pierce, 82, of Balko, OK passed away on Sunday September 8, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
He was born on April 5, 1942 to Jay and Nellie (Trimmel) Pierce at Wichita, KS.
On December 10, 1970 he married Theresa Waybright Carlile, they divorced in 1974. On October 16, 2002 he married Peggy Smith Hot Springs, AR.
Ron was a beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, friend and neighbor. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at OPSU in Goodwell, OK. He spent many years working in the oil and gas industry for Northern Natural Gas, Enron, and ASAP Services in Liberal, KS. Ron enjoyed drag racing his 1962 Corvette. He later restored that car to a show car, winning many trophies in both. Ron also enjoyed his motorcycle collection. He was especially fond of his custom chopper he built at his shop on 7th Street, in Liberal, KS. He took that Chopper to Sturgis many times. Ron was a proud patriot and member of the NRA.
Ron is survived by his wife Peggy of Balko, Ok, Daughter, Jennifer Tanner of Liberal, KS; Grandchildren, Mersadez (Andrew) Lee of Hugo, OK, Trevor Tanner of Liberal, KS, Brendan (Beth) Tanner of Salina, KS; five great-grandchildren; Two Sisters, Janelle Greenwood of Cheney, KS, Judy Pierce of Cheney, KS; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother, Jim Pierce.
There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel. Ron’s family would like to invite friends to join them for appetizers at Billy’s Blue Duck BBQ , following the service.
