Ronald Denton Bertram of Hugoton, Kansas, went to meet his Lord & Savior, Jesus on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was 73. Ron was born on December 29, 1944.
Ron served in the Marine Corps. As a Lance Corporal from 1964-1968. Ron was a master carpenter and bricklayer. Even in his last years he was building bird houses and picture frames for family and friends. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, especially at Lee Roy’s and Lake Texoma. He was well known for his sense of humor and was always looking to pull a practical joke. He deeply loved his children and grandchildren and supported them in every way possible.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Carol Gordon Bertram; brother, John Bertram and son, Casey Bertram.
Survivors include, son, Travis Bertram, Cortez, CO; two daughters, Traci Goode and husband Danny, Hugoton, KS, Kari Uber and husband Kyle, Denison, TX; two sisters, Nancy McLemore and husband Jeff, Edmond, OK, Janet Rucker and husband Charles, Duncan, OK; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Goode, Tyler Goode, Nate Uber, Abbey Goode, Braydon Bertram, Anna Uber, Eadyn Bertram, Trayven Bertram. Many other relatives and friends.
Memorials have been established for Church of Christ, Hugoton. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home –PO Box 236-, Hugoton, KS.
Viewing will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 10 AM to 8 PM, Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton. Family will be receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Church of Christ, Hugoton, KS. Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff McLemore.
