Roberta L Williams of Liberal pass away June 21 at Wheatridge Park Care
Center.
Roberta was born Aug. 21 1935 to Gloyd and Mary Bryan in Flagler
Colorado.
She was the youngest of 4 children. Moving to Liberal as a young child,
she attended and graduated from Liberal High School in 1953.
Roberta married Robert B. “Bob ” Williams Feb.6 1954. He died April 18
2004. They had 4 children and gained a stepson when they married. Robin
Williams (deceased), son Kenny Williams (deceased), son Jeff
(Leisa)Williams Bradenton FL., daughter Paula (Ted) Schmidt Turpin Ok.
and daughter Lorraine (Dale ) Schell Plains KS.
She went to work at SW Medical center in 1965 starting as an aid and
becoming a surgical tech until 1991 after retiring there she went on to
work in Dr. Jess Koons Ophthalmology office until finally retiring in
1997. She bowled for many years with the Queens League at The Ayr Lanes.
She was a member of The First Church Of The Nazarene.
She is survived by 1 son Jeff and 2 daughters Paula and Lorraine,and her
sister Louise Josserand of Wichita. She had 10 Grandchildren,and 16
grand children.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband Bob, brothers Clifford and
Virgil, 2 sons Robin And Kenny, 4 grandchildren Brandon,Bradley and
Brandee Williams and Preston Schell.
Viewing will be 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday June 25th at Miller Mortuary
with the family present to greet friends from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, 10:00 am at
the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Arlen Ankle officiating.
The family suggests memorials to First Church of the Nazarene in care of
Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
