Roberta (“Bobbie”) J. Windsor

Roberta (“Bobbie”) J. Windsor, 81, of Liberal, died Monday December 29, 2014, at Liberal Springs assisted living facility.
Born March 31, 1933, in Texas County Oklahoma, Roberta married Lowell L. Windsor on January 19, 1963, in Liberal.
Roberta grew up in Perryton and Borger Texas, before moving to Liberal and graduating from Liberal High School in 1951. Roberta kept the books for several Liberal area truckers and other businesses, including Schlumberger and United Products, before working for Bears & Hares Mercantile and retiring in 2009.
Roberta was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Liberal, where she volunteered in many capacities, such as financial secretary, organist and Bible school teacher. Roberta enjoyed sewing, making numerous baby quilts for newborns, and had a passion for genealogical research.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Don) Millis of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; her sister, Wilma Zimmerman of Stillwater Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jason and Elisa Millis of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; three step-grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Millis of Henderson, Nevada and Joseph Millis of Whitewater, Wisconsin; three nieces, Lynn (Ronald) Morrell of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Freda (Miguel) Garcia of El Paso, Texas; and Judy Barnes of Liberal, KS; and several members of her extended family including an aunt, and numerous cousins, a great-niece, great-nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; and her parents, Eugene and Lucille Doggett.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday January 2, 2015 at Miller Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday January 3, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Liberal.
The family suggests memorials be made to the St. Catherine Hospice via St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
