Robert Pauda, age 61, of Lakin, Kansas died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born January 7, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas the son of Marcelino B. Sr. and Geneva (Felan) Pauda.
Robert moved to Ulysses at the age of 16. He worked in the oil and gas fields as a backhoe operator. He was currently managing Ranchito Café in Lakin. Robert married Norma Romero in 1974 in Ulysses.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of their home; sons, Robert Pauda Jr. of Ulysses, Kansas, Andrew Pauda of Lakin, Kansas; daughter, Rebecca Degollado of Hugoton, Kansas; mother, Geneva Pauda of Ulysses, Kansas; brothers, Marcelino Pauda Jr. of Ulysses, Kansas, Luciano Pauda of Ulysses, Kansas, Albert Pauda of Dodge City, Kansas, Joe Pauda of Ulysses, Kansas, Angel Pauda of Ulysses, Kansas, Sammy Pauda of Ulysses, Kansas, Jessie Pauda of Lubbock, Texas and Billy Pauda of Hooker, Oklahoma; sisters, Geneva Ramos, Irene Sosa, and Irma Pauda all of Ulysses, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Naomi, Miguel Jr., Valentino, Faith, Robert Brock, Kayden James, Hope Renee.
Robert is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Dominga Esquivel.
Vigil and Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. Friends may call Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas.
