Robert “Mike” White, 65, passed away on October 3, 2023 in Marana, Arizona surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Leanna Kay White, his three sons with families Cody and Rebecca White of Tucson, JD and Lyz White of Marana, and Matthew and Lacy White of Tucson. Seven grandkids Karsen, Harper, Madalinn, Easton, Kaylee, Jasper and Matthew Jr. His mother Cosette Abbott of Tucson and sisters with families Tricia McKee of Marana and Kali Smith of Burnet, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mike was born and raised in Liberal, Kansas where he grew up working for his dad and neighboring farmers and ranchers. He met the love of his life Leanna there in 1980 and they got married on October 3, 1981 in her hometown of Plains, Kansas. They had three sons which were the center of his world. He raised them in his fast pace to be involved in anything and everything from raising and showing livestock to sports, motorcycle racing, car racing and boating. In 2002 they picked up as a family and moved to Tucson, Arizona for the opportunity to pursue the creativity and vision he had for restoring old cars and trucks and continued that up until it was time to slow down and they decided to purchase a small ranch south of Tucson, where he could raise and train hunting dogs and add some livestock and horses back to his life, mainly so that his grandkids could grow up some in the environment that he and his sons did.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert D White, his brother David, two sisters Mitsy Darr and Barbara White as well as his mother and father in law Jeanie and Cap Jacobs and a sister in law Roxanne Dowling.
