Robert June Wayne Heinrichs, age 63, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Sunday, December 15, 2019, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born June 24, 1956, in Wolf Point, Montana, the son of Abe and Virginia (Barkman) Heinrichs.
Robert’s family moved to Ulysses when he was 10 years old. He graduated in 1974 from Ulysses High School and then attended Dodge City Community College for one year. Robert a long-haul truck driver, previously worked at Kroy Industries for ten years, and Lathem Water Service.
Robert is survived by three sons, Adam Heinrichs and wife Angie of Ulysses, James Heinrichs and wife Brienne of Windsor, Colorado, and David Heinrichs of Lawrence; four brothers, Jack Heinrichs and wife Janet of Emporia, Roger Heinrichs and wife Gail of Aurora, Colorado, Ralph Heinrichs and wife Kathy of Wichita, and Phillip Heinrichs and wife Debbie of Beaverton, Oregon; sister, Cindy Cordell and husband Scott of McPherson; and five grandchildren, Rebecca, Brandon, Grace, Jess, and Augie.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Roseann Carter.
Memorial service will be Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Church (New Life Church) in Ulysses with Pastor Nathan Engelman officiating.
