Robert Clinton (Bob) Stewart, age 82, flew with the Angels to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from the Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on October 19, 1942, in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Theodore Clinton and Viola Almeda (Solf) Stewart.

Bob lived in Carmen, Oklahoma, and Ava, Missouri, where he graduated high school in 1961. Bob served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, serving one year in Vietnam. He married Rachael Ann Lewis in Wichita, Kansas, on October 26, 1968, and finished his military service at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After his honorable discharge they lived in Hamilton, Kansas, before living the last 55 years in Morton County. Bob worked 17 years for Panhandle Eastern, two years for Hugoton Energy, and then returned to farming, his favorite. In 2017, Bob was honored and very proud to participate in the Honor Flight program. He loved fishing, farming, and being a mechanic. He also fed the feral cats of the neighborhood. Bob was a member of the American Legion and Rolla Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachael; brother, Billy Stewart of Independence, Missouri; sister, Joyce Burris of Santee, California; sister-in-law, Ruby Stewart of Eldorado, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wondora Schroeder; brother, George Stewart; brother-in-law, Harvey Schroeder; sister-in-law, Janet Stewart; nephews, Russ Schroeder and Phillip Schroeder; and nieces, Vicky Burris and Deanna Stewart.

Graveside service and military rites will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Richfield Cemetery with Reverend Wesley Young officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.
