Robert Carl “Bob” Anderson

Robert Carl “Bob” Anderson , 89, died Sunday May 22, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born November 24 , 1921 at Hibbing, Minnesota , the son of Carl and Aina Anderson. He had lived in Hibbing, MN for 18 years, graduating from Hibbing High School in 1938. He had also lived in Denham, MN for 5 yrs, Aberdeen, SD for 10 yrs and the past 50 yrs in Liberal, KS.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 – 45.
He was the owner of Liberal Standard Supply. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , Elks Lodge #1947 and a past member of Liberal Lions Club of Liberal.
On May 3, 1942, he married Dorothy Kathryn Anderson. She died April 30, 2001.
Survivors include:
1 Son- Bruce Robert Anderson and wife Regina of Hooker, OK
2 Daughters –Barbara Kathryn Anderson and husband Carl of Aberdeen, SD
Sandra Jane Carmichael and husband Kent of Ulysses, KS
9 Grandchildren – Sara Ousdigian and husband Kevin, Amy Brost and husband Jon, Robert Anderson and wife Dianna, Shelley Smith and husband Carl, Tricia Gill and husband Jeff, Shaun Noyes and wife Lora, Jeff Noyes and wife Tracy, Brooke Fredericks and husband Ryan and Jennifer Edwards .
22 Great-Grandchildren 1 Great-Great Grandchild
Preceded in death by Parents, Brother – Ray Anderson , Sister – Helen Bolf and Granddaughter – Krystal
Funeral service will be10:30 am Friday, May 27th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Stephen B. Saville presiding. Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm Wednesday and 9 am – 8 pm Thursday with family to greet friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday. at Brenneman Funeral Home .
