Richelle Lynnette Simmons, 52, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born on July 19, 1966 in Smith Center, KS, the daughter of Don and Verna (Butler) VanDonge. She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1984.
She worked for National Beef as a traffic coordinator for many years.

Richelle loved to golf and bowl. She had a love of horses, especially for their beauty and elegance. She loved joking around with friends, family, her daughter, and her dog, Cooper. Remember her legacy as a fighter, she fought breast cancer for 3 years, she always fought as hard as she could, she kept her faith in God, and she kept her smile and sense of humor through it all. Richelle will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don VanDonge, grandparents Bacil and Esther Butler, grandparents Leonard and Libby VanDonge and father in law Frank Simmons Sr

A celebration of Richelle’s life will be held on her birthday, Friday, July 19, 2019, from 6pm-8pm at the Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends during that time.
Memorial services will be at 10 am, Saturday, July 20, at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding.
Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery.
