Richard L. Cook

Richard L. Cook, age 80, passed away late Saturday evening, October 29, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society, Liberal, Kansas.

He was born September 16, 1942, at Meade, Kansas, the son of Clifford Ray and Lenora Elizabeth (Mabery) Cook. As a young boy he attended the Meade School system. After his education, he began his career as a custodian, working for the Liberal Public Schools for over thirty years.

He enjoyed playing snooker, going out for coffee with friends, attended the Liberal High School sporting events, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Paula Cleaton of Liberal; two brothers, Gaylord Cook of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Marlon Cook of Boone, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Oland Cook and Gordon Cook; and two sisters, Dorothy Leis and Dolly Ann Watts.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Graceland Cemetery, Meade. Cremation has taken place.

The family would welcome memorials to the Liberal Senior Center in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
