Richard K. Larsen 88, died, Friday, January 08, 2016 at the Clermont Park Retirement Home in Denver, CO.
He was born April 13, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Frederick Cristian and Ruth (Everhart) Larsen.
He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1945. Dick served with the US Army from September 1945 to January 1947. He was stationed in Japan after World War II and was in charge of supply procurement.
He was employed with John Deere for 28 years and retired in 1982 as a Territory Manager. Most of those years living in Liberal, Kansas. He then worked for his twin sister Patricia at her company, Smith Systems. He lived in Las Cruces New Mexico until 2013 when he moved to Denver Colorado.
Dick was very active in the Mission Lutheran Missouri Synod Church in Las Cruces New Mexico.
Dick was married to Alvirda Finke from May 7, 1949 until her death on July 20, 1984.
On Oct. 12, 1985 he married Jacqueline Anderson Earl in Denver, CO. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She survives.
Other survivors include:
2 sons David Larsen of Des Moines Iowa,
Michael Larsen and wife Pheap of Des Moines Iowa
1 daughter Elizabeth Larsen of Virginia.
4 step daughters, Kathleen Earl, Maryellen Green, Nancy Myers and Barbara Earl
A twin sister Patricia Smith of Texas.
He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; Lea Larsen, Adam Larsen, Alamea Lee, Malia Green, Lehua Knight, Alex Larsen, Christopher Larsen and Molly Larsen and 7 Great grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm Monday January, 11, 2016 at Clermont Park Retirement Home in Denver, CO.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, KS with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding. Military Honors will be given by the American Legion Post 80.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
