Richard H. Englund, age 84, passed away early Thursday morning, December 1, 2022, at his rural Fowler, Kansas, residence.

He was born February 27, 1938, at New York City, New York, the son of Harry and Gertrude Englund. As a young boy he attended school in White Plains, New York, graduating from high school in 1956. He later furthered his education, receiving his Masters from Liberty University and his Bachelors from Nyack College. He was a computer system analyst for Readers Digest for many years until his retirement.

He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. He enjoyed playing golf, music, leading the church choir, traveling to many locations including South Africa and Portugal, and spending time with his family and friends.

On August 30, 1958, he married Ruth Durand at White Plains, New York. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Clarke Englund and wife Judy of New Braunfels, Texas, David Englund and wife Patty of Nassau, New York, Kirk Englund and wife Kathy of Brookfield, Connecticut, and Arlene Weber and husband Doug of rural Fowler, Kansas; two sisters, Barbara Richardson of Kansas City, Missouri, and Trudy Nordling of Chicago, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.

The family would welcome memorials to Hospice of the Prairie in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
