Richard Earl Gray, 50, formerly of Liberal, KS passed away on Sunday April 18, 2021 at his home in Hutchinson, KS.
He was born on June 9, 1970 to Nathaniel King and Brunetter (Hanley) Wrotten at Pickens, AK.
Richard was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1989. He had lived in Great Bend, KS then moving to Hutchinson, KS where he had been living for the past nine years. Richard worked many years as a Truck Driver. He loved music, singing, teaching, and had an ability to play almost any instrument! Richard also loved to cook and spend time with his kids and family. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners Club, and attended Hope Church in Hutchinson.
Richard is survived by his Son Richard Earl Gray, II; Two Daughters, Tatiana Gray and Zaria Gottschalk; Three Sisters, Ida Marie Eatmon And husband Robert of Liberal, KS, Barbara Holman and husband Frank of Liberal, KS, Shirley Cooper and husband Troy of Rolla, KS; Brother, Earnest Lee Powell and wife Theresia M. of Arkadelphia, Ark; Several Nieces and Nephews. Richard’s best friend, Marcus Terry of Hutchinson, KS.
The family would also like extend a heartfelt “thank you” to Richard’s best friend Marcus Terry for always being able to be there for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters, Henrietta Gray, and Roszetta Clay, Brothers, Michael Lee Jackson and Mack Jackson.
Viewing will be 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.
Graveside Services will 10:30 am Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Liberal City Cemetery, Liberal, Kansas, with Pastor Kendall Sheats, officiating.
The family request memorials to Miller Mortuary to assist with Richard’s final expenses.
