Richard “Dick” Wayne Titus Sr

Richard “Dick” Wayne Titus Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Hugoton, Kansas, at the age of 81. He was born on June 16, 1943, in Downing, California to his parents Wayne Elmo and Lola Lorena (Hills) Titus. Richard was a dedicated farmer and had a longstanding career with Passmore Brothers of Hugoton.

Richard and Bonnie Kay Grubbs were married on June 11, 1957, in Hugoton. Bonnie preceded him in death on August 15, 1995.

He found joy in various hobbies and interests including coyote hunting, fishing, and watching high school basketball, football, and volleyball. Richard was known for his caring heart and his ability to bring laughter to his family.

Richard’s proudest accomplishments revolved around his beloved family. He deeply loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Greenway; brother, George Titus; great-granddaughter, Emma.

Dick is survived by his son, Richard Wayne Titus Jr. and wife Ginny of Hugoton, KS; daughter, Tammy Greeson and husband Eddy of Sharon Springs, KS; three brothers, Douglas Titus and wife Vaudine of Hugoton, KS, Michael Titus and wife Judy of Upland, CA, David Titus and wife Bonnie, Blackrock, AR.; sister, Carol Hutchins and husband Jerald of Beatty, OR; sister-in-law, Charlene Titus of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Destrie Whitaker and wife Stephanie of Sharon Springs, KS., Kamrie Bozarth and husband Dustin of Hugoton, KS., Parker Titus and wife Christa of Pratt, KS., Vivian Titus of Haviland, KS., Brighton and husband Zion Doyle of Hugoton, Hudson Titus of Pratt, KS., Levi Greeson and wife Bethany of Norton, KS., and Laci Greeson of Goodland, KS.; great-grandchildren Tiera, Tabor, Kyron, Kylynn, Rigs, Taygan, Kyson, Braxton, Kingstin, Lilian, Axl, Lawson, Cadence, Keegan, Paisley, Keanna, Lyla, and Dominic.

Memorials have been established to Pheasant Heaven Charities, in care of Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 25th from 2 pm to 8 pm and Friday, July 26th from 10 am to 8 pm at Robson Funeral Home of Hugoton.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27th at Bethel Friends Church, Hugoton at 10 am followed by a graveside service at Hugoton Cemetery with Pastor Richard Martin.

Richard “Dick” Wayne Titus Sr. will be remembered for his kind spirit and the love he shared with his family. May he rest in peace.
