Richard Angel Castillo, 37, passed away on May 26, 202, in Sublette, Kansas. He was born on November 19, 1986, in Bakersfield, California to his parents Juan and Frances.
Throughout his life, Richard displayed a remarkable work ethic and adaptability, excelling in various roles he undertook. His knack for mastering any job he put his mind to set him apart truly.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Richard found joy in simple pleasures. Camping under the stars, fishing by tranquil waters, and tinkering with vehicles were among his favorite pastimes. A loyal Dallas Cowboys Football team supporter, he relished cheering for his beloved team during game days.
Richard and Victoria Rivera were married and had two adored and loving children, Richard Jr. and Breanna. They later divorced.
Richard’s warm and caring nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. His acts of kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. He had an infectious smile that brightened even the darkest of days.
Richard was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fransico and Marianna Castillo; and maternal grandparents, Frances and John Martinez. He is survived by his cherished children Richard Jr. and Breanna Castillo; loving father Juan Casillo Sr. and stepmother Veronica; mother Frances Sanchez and stepfather Danny; devoted siblings Juan Castillo Jr. (wife Jenny), Lorenzo Castillo, Robert Castillo (wife Ruby), and Maryann Martinez; step sisters, Ayla, Brittany, Toni and Katie; step brother, Ryder; adored nieces and nephews Emily, Justin, Jackson, Juan, Ricardo, Joanna, Lorenzo Jr., Raymond, Roman, Reina; as well as many other relatives and friends.
To honor Richard’s memory, a visitation will be held on June 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Additional visitation hours will occur on June 2nd from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main Street, Ulysses. The funeral service will be held at Templo Emmanuel Church in Ulysses on June 3rd at 10:30 AM with Pastor George Devora presiding the service. There will be no burial as cremation will occur after the funeral service.
Richard Angel Castillo’s presence will be dearly missed but his spirit lives on through the memories he created with those around him. May he rest in eternal peace.
