Ricardo “Ricky” Rodriguez

Ricardo “Ricky” Rodriguez, age 43, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his home in Ulysses. He was born July 2, 1977, in Satanta, Kansas, the son of Simon and Maria (Longoria) Rodriguez.

Ricky grew up in Satanta and graduated from Satanta High School in 1995. He was a very dedicated employee and for the last 22 years, has worked at Friona Feed Yard as a feed delivery manager. Ricky enjoyed spending time with friends, cooking out, and watching sports. He took pride in his vehicles and always kept them clean and in excellent condition.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Maria Rodriguez of Satanta; brother, Rogelio Rodriguez of Satanta; sisters, Teresa Garza and husband Ramiro of Ulysses, and Patricia Herrera and husband Gerardo of Dodge City; and his nieces and nephews.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Simon; siblings, Simon Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Sonia Rodriguez, and Ana Andrade Rodriguez; and niece, Yesenia Rodriguez.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Oasis Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Pastor Macario Garza officiating. The service will be broadcast live via the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook Page. Interment will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Haskell County, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
