Ricardo Levario Baeza, age 52, died Saturday, December 21, 2024, near Dodge City, Kansas. He was born on June 19, 1972, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Rosendo Apodaca and Antonia Victoria (Baeza) Levario.
When Ricardo was 19 years old, he moved to the United States. He worked in the oil field until he started his own diesel mechanic shop, RL Diesel Repair. He married Araceli Valenzuela in 2001 in Ulysses. Ricardo had many trucker friends and will be remembered for being a hard worker and having a caring soul.
Ricardo is survived by his wife, Araceli of Ulysses; children, Estefeny Valenzuela of Garden City, Kansas, Erika Valenzuela of Mexico, Sebastian Levario of Ulysses, Ricardo Levario, Jr. of Dodge City, and Valeria Levario of Ulysses; father, Rosendo Apodaca of Texas; mother, Antonia Levario of Mexico; brother, Ramon Ontiveros of Ulysses; sister, Juliana Ontiveros of Ulysses; and three grandchildren, Alexis Villegas and Isabella Rodriguez of Garden City, and Josue Aragon of Ulysses.
Rosary will be Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with Reverend Eric Gyamfi officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
